Selah Massage & Bodywork ~ Mei Leslie, LMT, CST-T

During a decade of training, teaching and competing in martial arts, I discovered therapeutic bodywork for maintaining my rigorous workouts, but found that the benefits overflowed to other areas of life, contributing to greater balance and well-being. Receiving consistent bodywork resulted in less pain for me, better flexibility and body awareness. I knew after leaving this discipline that I wanted to pass on the benefits of therapeutic bodywork to others. I replaced black belt techniques with compassionate touch, and found that the intention and discipline that drove my training before could be channeled into this new endeavor. Now, more than 12 years later, I continue to marvel at the inscrutable way the body restores and repairs itself. In 2013 I directed my practice toward oncology massage through training with Tracy Walton, and became a Preferred Provider for the Society for Oncology Massage. Then in 2015 I began course work in Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, and reached their first certification level in 2018. This modality has changed the way I work and see the body. I respect the understanding that I am only a facilitator to the changes the body wants to make. I have been privileged to work with clients from age 12 to 92, in private, corporate and clinical settings. Massage and/or Craniosacral sessions are always customized to your needs, with the goal of honoring and listening to your body and supporting you in your journey to wellness.
I enjoy being outdoors, in all seasons, cycling, gardening, snowshoeing, or playing my Triplett folk harp (it occasionally goes outside).
